My name is John Boutell and I live Allen, Texas. While my primary focus is collecting local, county and state law enforcement patches, I collect other patches as well from around the world.
I started collecting patches in 1998. I have graduated with a certificate in Criminal Justice and I am a former police explorer and community service officer To date, I have collected 2541 patches from all over the world to include law enforcement, fire, and military insignia. I would appreciate a patch within all divisions & specialized units from your department for my collection.
I am from the Mont Belvieu area. My husband works for Baytown Fire Department (LT) and works for Cypress Fairbanks volunteer department during his part time as a Firefighter. I just wanted to say thank you for doing the job you do. It is much appreciated. God bless all of you. Thank you.

Thank you Mont Belvieu FD for responding to our call for help on Friday, May 8, 2015. We are retired and live fultime in our rv. We were traveling in separate vehicles that day going north on 146. We noticed several big puffs of white smoke from the rear of our motorhome. The smoke quit before we could get stopped off the road. We checked things out and couldn't locate the source. We traveled on a few more miles when the Mrs saw a flash underneath the rig and more smoke. We stopped again. I'm a retired firefighter and was hoping for the best! I spotted a small flame by the right dual axle. I got two of our fire extinguishers out and crawled under the rv. I strategically used them both. When I saw flames on both sides I told my wife to call the fire department. She made the call, moved our other vehicle further back and directed traffic to the other lane while I used our third extinguisher on the other side. The call was transferred between the Liberty county dispatcher and Mont Belvieu dispatchers (and was almost transferred back!) so we weren't for sure help was on the way. Fortunately, three extinguishers is all it took to the job. Seems the differential had puked grease out and it was the heavy oil that was burning on both duals. I was able to put the fire out without any damages to our rig. We called to cancel the emergency call and once again there was confusion with the dispatcher but she said the call was canceled. We were standing on the side of the road thanking God we hadn't just watched everything we owned burn up when you guys drove up. We explained the situation and assured you everything was fine. Thanks guys for showing up as fast as you did and being completely ready to fight the fire. We were very glad we had radios to communicate between our vehicles, several fire extinguishers and you guys!
Website looks great!!! Keep up the good work. We would love to trade patches if you have any to trade. STAY SAFE!!!
